With his 2012 album ‘A Life In Transit’ hailed as “a songbook for our time”, Nathan Leigh is an indie folk producer and songwriter who’s always explored the highs and lows of touring life, splitting his time between the life of a touring musician and that of a theater composer.
The latest from Nathan Leigh is an album he produced over the span of a year and a half, bringing in collaborators from all over the musical spectrum. The result is an album composed by 13 leading tracks, that switches from noisy indie rock, to chamber pop, to political folk, to country.
Full of complex arrangements and lyrics that turn from wry social commentary to heartfelt pleas to the whole humanity, ‘Myths, Conspiracy Theories, and Other Stuff I Made Up To Sound Interesting’ is as perfect soundtrack for those moments in which we try to find hope in hopeless situations.
With a launch tour put on standby due to pandemic and Nathan’s chronic lung condition, Leigh is currently focusing his energy on producing stop motion music videos for the album’s songs, along with a self-coded tie-in retro game that will be entering its first run of alpha testing by the end of June.
