Introduction to New Genres Gqom and Gorge – Tokyo-based artist WRACK releases his sub-electronic wave with the 4-track EP “Hotto Kotto.”

Following on from the “Narimasu” EP, released last year under the USI KUVO (Tokyo) label, WRACK continues his quest to make more Japanese-style club music.

Combining genres of the new wave such as Gqom and Gorge, the brand new 4-track EP “Hotto Kotto” maintains the iconic approach of the Edochian creative, with percussive beats topped by dark and gritty atmospheres.

Offspring of the electro mother – Gorge is a sub-genre of electronics rooted in the “niche” of clubbing circles that flow in the mountainous areas of Nepal and India; Gqom is a raw derivation of the South African Kwaito, which evolved in the Zulu substratum of the neighborhoods surrounding the city center of Durban.
