Parallax Skies - the band

After an incredible 2019, which saw the band play at the prestigious Hit The North festival, the Newcastle quintet Parallax Skies is ready to further develop this momentum, releasing their first 2020 single titled ‘By The Time’.

Inspired by the alternative music of the ’80s, Parallax Skies creates their own modern version of a vibrant voice, tingling guitar interludes, and spaces of new romance, chiseled in a nostalgic Britpop shoegaze.

This is ‘By The Time’, the latest single with which Parallax Skies give life to their craftsmanship. As singer/guitarist Andy Brown explains, the song “is about self-realization; specifically of having wasted time by concentrating on all the wrong things. Consequently, unless something changes, you’ll miss your chance – John Lennon summed it up: life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”
