This is how Obsidian Tide has managed to bring their progressive metal all over the world
Formed in 2012 at the outskirts of Tel Aviv, Israel, Obsidian Tide is a trio comprised of Oz Avneya (guitars and clean vocals), Shachar Bieber (bass and harsh vocals) and Erez Nadler (drums and programming).
Their debut EP “Debris“, an ambitious concept album, was released in 2015 and received critical acclaim, selling many copies worldwide.
In August 2019, the band released their first full-length album, “Pillars of Creation“, a 55-minute progressive metal masterpiece consisting of 7 tracks that showcases in all its spectacularity the most mature and evolved version of this formidable trio. A surprising release, written and produced in its entirity by the band, with the participation of several musicians including Mike LePond (Symphony X, Mike LePond’s Silent Assassins).
Thanks to a peculiar, eclectic and distinctive sound, Obisdian Tide have also got a dozen shows under their belt, giving further demonstration of their mastery as performers, engaging in fascinating performances that allowed them to stand out in the local music scene and increase their loyal and enthusiastic fan base more and more.
In the wake of this growing success, built on consistency in pursuing a goal, experience gained in the field, and excellent quality music, Obsidian Tide are preparing for a 2020 that sees them launched towards the future, certainly made of new electrifying releases and engaging live performances.

Among the latter, it is worth mentioning the fact Obsidian Tide have been selected to be part of ProgPower Europe 2020, the progressive rock / metal festival which will be held from October 2 to October 4 in Baarlo, the Netherlands.

The program of the three-day festival includes their performance on Sunday 4th, from 3 to 4 pm, an unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself completely in the enthralling sound scenarios that this band is able to set up at each performance.
