A flawless unison. The perfect union between song and video creates an interesting project that transcends musical genres.
A breath that starts from deep inside us and comes up towards the outside, blending with the surrounding environment and space. A vibrant, pulsing rhythm that explodes in a strong, almost lacerating crescendo. This is the atmosphere that we breathe listening to “Deia”, the title track taken from the homonymous album by Namarah.
Atmosphere that is perfectly conveyed by the music video, in which the artist is showed at the center of the action, but connected to the surrounding space and to the world around her.

“Deia” is the latest release of this eclectic artist, whose background as a storyteller is even more evident in how the lyrics are structured.
The tune is perfect in the way in which it stirs up our emotions; and it is a flawless example of how a song in its entirety and its music video can be brought together in order to create a unified project.
The video, directed by Doc Hero, and featuring Nia Hinds, is the perfect model of how often simple things are also the best. The focus is on Namarah herself, who is shown in different settings, with different clothes, and in different states. But always focused on the horizon, on what is in front of her, inside her and inside her soul.
All the parts of this project are equally important, and they perfectly complement each other. The images of the video, the lyrics of the song, the voice and the music all work together, giving to the listener/watcher a strong feeling of harmony. The director effectively uses the contrast between colors, with particular attention to Namarah’s clothes, in different tonalities than the background. The setting is simple: a chair, a wall, a window; but everything is enriched and embellished by the dancer that accompanies, with fluid, elegant moves, Namarah and her beautiful voice. Every element contributes to sending us the message that everything passes, giving us also a feeling of hope.
Namarah is a very interesting artist, that everyone who loves music should follow, for her innovative way of mixing different types of music, effectively creating a new genre, that she calls “Manna”. Something mysterious that comes from heaven, that it is impossible to define perfectly and to know in its entirety, but that is exactly what we need.
It feeds us. It gives us hope. It makes us feel whole.
