Juan Calle is a trilingual Baile Funk artist from the United States. Calle’s passion for music began as a therapeutic escape from his continuous and unfortunate encounters when it came to romance.
Through his lyrics Calle expresses both personal and imagined realities, transforming them into stories that revolve around his perception of romantically sweet and sour tastes.
Incorporating trilingual lyrics into the songwriting, Juan sets himself the main objective of bringing to the music scene his style characterized by his Hispanic roots, accompanied by various musical influences that led him to develop a personal sound and style within the genre of baile funk (aka funk carioca). This creative vision has found strength also thanks to Juan’s collaboration with the DJ and producer NoBveno, a member of the future trap house duo PRTYFOUL.
Juan Calle’s latest release is the single ‘Sin Licensia’, an inspired song, “about living life young, wild and free, no matter what your situation or era you are in life.” That’s how Juan Calle introduces us to the theme of his release, reinforced by the cartoon-style artwork, which reflects the dualism of a certain philosophy of life, bringing us a track whose atmosphere is deeply infused in those Latin rhythms typical of the baile funk.
