Eluvium’s Matthew Cooper and Explosions In the Sky’s Mark T. Smith further their creative curiosities as Inventions, releasing the album ‘Continuous Portrait’
Presenting itself as an album of strange hypnosis, punctuated by songs that venture quite far from Cooper’s and Smith’s respective oeuvres, ‘Continuous Portrait’ sees the two friends bring us a new glimpse on their inspiration, colored by the genuine surprise of creating and combining sounds.
Through three instrumental tracks of epic cinematic music, Cooper and Smith whirl and hum to invoke our inner playfulness and welcome a greater joy into our lives, even if only for a momentary lapse of reflection.
‘Continuous Portrait’ will be released on July 10 on CD and vinyl through Temporary Residence Ltd. The vinyl edition will be pearlescent bronze colored and limited to 500 pieces. You can pre-order the album here.
