Taken from their upcoming full-length album, the folk-rock anthem ‘Made It This Far’ is a departure from the synth-driven sounds of Fialta’s sophomore record ‘Shadow of a Drought’, emphasizing acoustic guitars, live strings, hand percussion, and organic harmonies.

Fialta (Beth Leibovich, David Provenzano, Michael Leibovich, and Sarah Shotwell) is four-piece indie-pop band from Southern California. They have received over two million plays on Spotify, and have been featured on Nerdist, NPR, and Paste, as well as on TV shows including Parenthood, Atypical, Awkward, and Bojack Horseman.

“We wrote ‘Made It This Far’ a year ago, when a personal friend and her family were grieving an unimaginable tragedy. The song is about the way that pain silences us; how words often fall short in the face of suffering” said Fialta about the theme of this song, then continues: “It’s about feeling helpless and dumb when others are hurting. When we don’t know what to say, how can we show our compassion? Should we still try, even when that attempt feels feeble and awkward and thin and incomplete?”

‘Made It This Far’ has been released on Spotify and all other digital platforms on April 21th. Fialta will release their third full-length record in 2020.
