With a synth pop verve and a vibrant alternative R&B vein, Dreezer emerges again thanks to a production that's impeccable to say the least.
Alan Dreezer is an artist who has so far always collaborated with other musicians or as part of a band, away from his passion for synth-pop. His past experiences include live performances such as the tour with pop duo Tara 2 while supporting Brother Beyond, and sold out shows at the High Barn Great Bardfield with rock-pop band ADProject.
After his first solo album “London E12“, containing the singles “We Have Come a Long Way“, “Unknown” and “If This Is The End“, Dreezer announces his second album titled “Healed“, whose release is expected for 2020, preceeded by the single and short film “What You Didn’t Say“. We had the pleasure of writing about both here on Nova music blog. If you missed the articles:
In the wake of the success and feedback for “What You Didn’t Say“, Dreezer is preparing to release a new single, titled “But It Does“, which will be available on Spotify from January 20, and which we were able to preview for you. With this single Alan gives us a formidable production in which the mix of R&B and synth-pop brings his music to an even higher level than it already was.

As Dreezer himself explains: “Lyrically, “But It Does” has two messages. First, even if a failed relationship is in its past, memories from it can still influence you. And secondly that there aren’t always happy endings for everyone. This song took much longer than normal in the studio to get right. I had a specific sound in my head and I wanted to introduce live instruments for the first time.”

It is no coincidence, therefore, that the freshness and cleanness of the sound of “But It Does”, together with the attention to detail in the arrangement and instrumental parts, set up a formidable musical embrace that surrounds and enhances Dreezer’s excellent vocal performance, one that is profound, heartfelt, and passionate.
Thanks to the careful vision of Elliot Richardson, who co-wrote and produced “But It Does”, and to the production ideas provided by S BNJMN, the song manages to keep the distinctive details of the elements of the mix unobtrusive and at the same time make them more peculiar , blending them in an exquisitely balanced way through an engaging sense of organicity.
Just listen to the guitar riffs, to how characteristic, bright, and at the same time graceful they sound; same goes for the bass line, a spectacular performance that could be a song in itself. And to think that both these guitar and bass pearls bear the same signature, that of session man Jason Elvin!
